More than 24 satellites have been discovered orbiting Saturn. Eighteen of them have been given names. Titan is by far the largest of Saturn's moons. Rhea, Iapetus, Dione, Tethys, Enceladus, and Mimas are mid-sized moons. Hyperion, Phoebe, Janus, Prometheus, Pandora, Epimetheus, Atlas, Helene, Pan, Calypso, and Telesto are small moons.
The mid-size moons range from 240 to 950 miles (386 to 1530 km) across. They are cratered, spherical moons. The small moons are all less than 160 miles (258 km) across and are irregularly shaped. The mid-size and small moons are made mostly of rocky materials and water ice.
